Notes:

  1. *Effective April 1, 2003 day surgery data is no longer collected as part of the Discharge Abstract Database, but is collected under the National Ambulatory Care Reporting System which has different reporting guidelines for day surgery. As a result, statistics from earlier years may no longer be comparable.

  2. Some day surgery circumcisions may be performed on patients born in non-hospital settings.

  3. Data includes non-Ontario residents.
