I acknowledge receipt of your letter of October 25, 1999, along with the six questions involving male and female circumcision. The Commissioners will be meeting on December 10 and your correspondence will be on the agenda for their consideration. Should they wish to respond or state a position on the issue, you will be advised accordingly. In the meantime, the Commission does not have a policy on the topic and there are no provisions covering same in the Newfoundland Human Rights Code.
